Talisman IV

A 25’ Bates Starcraft, Talisman IV was built in 1957. She is owned by our very own business namesake, Tim Gilmore, who decided to rescue her and commit to a full restoration project.

After undertaking a huge amount of work, she was relaunched with everything completed other than the engine installation. With her at the time being out of the water for around 25 years, it was a sensible opportunity for her to take up, and for Tim and his family to use her afloat for leisure at the weekends. She was also present for the Birdham Pool Classics event where she gained much praise and attention.

In 2019 she became operational and mobile, after her Beta 20 engine was successfully installed and she was launched again.

Year on year, Tim ensures that Talisman IV receives the loving attention she deserves, with regular annual maintenance, and paint and varnish top ups to keep her in ship-shape.
